My Journey from The Voice Australia to Wedding Stages Across Australia

When people ask how I ended up singing people down the aisle for a living, I usually smile and say, "It’s been a journey." Because it truly has.

I got my first real taste of the spotlight on The Voice Australia. Sitting at the piano on that stage, pouring my heart into my Blind Audition, and sharing my voice with a national audience was both exhilarating and terrifying. It gave me a glimpse into the music industry, a deeper trust in myself as a performer, and one massive truth: I wanted to connect with people through music - always.

But here’s the unexpected twist: the real magic didn’t come from TV. It came later, on sun-drenched hinterland decks, beachfront ceremony stages, candlelit barns, and packed dance floors at weddings across Queensland.

So how did I go from reality TV to weddings?
After The Voice, I started getting a lot of attention from couples who were keen to have me involved in their wedding day.  It was at a couple’s wedding where it truly clicked: this wasn’t just performing - it was storytelling. Intimate. Emotional. Completely unique every time. I was hooked!  Now, years later, I’ve sung hundreds of couples down the aisle. I’ve had the honour of singing first dances, surprise serenades, and dance floor encores. And I’ve cried (happy tears!) at too many to name.

Every wedding is a new chapter, a different set of emotions. Some weddings are sweet and intimate, and others are full of wild energy. But each couple brings something unique to the table, and that's what I love about it. There’s no ‘one-size-fits-all’ wedding. Some couples want a more laid-back vibe with chilled acoustic songs, while others are all about the high-energy dance tunes. It’s all about creating a soundtrack that’s reflective of your story.

What I learned from The Voice still lives in me, such as:

  • How to connect with a song deeply

  • How to stay present, even under pressure

  • And most importantly - how to share something real with an audience

It’s just that now, instead of a panel of celebrity coaches, my audience is full of people who matter to you. And that’s honestly so much more special.

When you’re up on stage at a wedding, you’re not just singing songs. You’re providing the soundtrack to one of the most important days of someone’s life. That level of connection is what keeps me going. I love getting to be a part of those intimate moments, from the walk down the aisle to the first dance, and then watching everyone throw their hands in the air to I Gotta Feeling, haha.

If you’re planning your wedding and want a performer who’ll treat your day like the once-in-a-lifetime moment it is - I’m your girl 🙂
