Top 5 Wedding Venues in Queensland for Live Music Lovers
As someone who’s performed all over Queensland (in humidity, sunshine, and the odd tropical downpour), I’ve found some true gems when it comes to wedding venues that love and support live music.
If you want your big day to sound just as beautiful as it looks - here are five venues that I absolutely adore:
1. Maleny Manor
This Sunshine Coast icon is an acoustic dream. Think rolling hinterland views, gorgeous ceremony gardens, and a reception space that feels both luxe and intimate. Bonus: they’re absolute pros and treat musicians like gold. I’ve had the pleasure of performing for so many beautiful weddings here, and I can tell you - the acoustics and the ambiance make for some of the most memorable moments I’ve been a part of.
The vibe here is relaxed but elevated, making it the perfect setting for everything from intimate acoustic sets to full-on dance parties. If you’re into natural beauty with a dash of elegance, this is the place to be.
2. Summergrove Estate
Teeeeechnically perched above the Tweed Coast, right on the border of northern New South Wales but running on Queensland time (which makes me feel fine about including it in this list!) this stunner boasts ocean and mountain views and a super spacious reception barn with perfect sound acoustics. I’ve played many a love song here at golden hour, and it never misses. Summergrove is known for its spectacular backdrop and top-tier service, and I can personally vouch for its incredible atmosphere for both ceremony and reception.
What I love about Summergrove is the ability to tailor the music experience to your unique style. Whether you’re looking for mellow vibes or an all-out celebration, their venue can handle it all while maintaining perfect sound quality throughout.
3. Gabbinbar Homestead, Toowoomba
Old-world charm meets country luxury. Their ceremony areas are ideal for gentle acoustic performances, and the reception hall has a beautiful natural reverb that makes vocals soar. If you're a fan of stunning gardens, elegant décor, and rich history, Gabbinbar is a place that will have you swooning.
This venue has a way of making everything feel personal and meaningful, and the music enhances that feeling. From the moment I start playing for the ceremony to the last dance of the night, Gabbinbar keeps the vibe intimate yet grand.
4. The Calile Hotel, Brisbane
Modern, stylish and full of flair. This one’s perfect for couples who love a city-chic aesthetic. Their rooftop and function spaces are beautifully set up for both DJs and live performers. The space here is all about that urban sophistication, and it gives off major stylish vibes.
If you're after a glamorous wedding with some serious wow factor, The Calile’s perfect. With its stunning architecture and incredible energy, it’s the perfect spot for setting the stage for some live music magic.
5. Yandina Station
This one’s a rustic dream. Think timber beams, romantic lighting, and plenty of space to dance under the stars. Great for folk, acoustic, and relaxed party vibes. If you're craving a rustic-chic vibe that blends perfectly with acoustic tunes and dancing under the stars, Yandina Station is your spot.
The rustic charm and welcoming atmosphere here provide the perfect backdrop for a live music experience that is raw, beautiful, and unforgettable.
When a venue supports great sound, it elevates everything. Your songs land better, your guests hear every word of your vows, and the dance floor doesn’t miss a beat.
If you’re still venue-hunting, I’m happy to share even more recs based on the vibe you're after - and if you’ve already locked one in, I’d love to chat about how we can make the most of it musically 🙂
